The equine insurance premium rate varies based on an animal’s use, breed, and age. A minimum premium may apply. We also sell livestock insurance for show cattle and breeding stock. Horses between 24 hours and 20 years of age and cattle between two weeks and ten years are eligible.

Insurance Endorsement We Provide

• Veterinary Services: This coverage will reimburse you for illness, injury, disease, or surgery. A minimum mortality value is required.
• Surgical: This coverage will reimburse you for reasonable and customary fees for surgical procedures necessary to save your horse’s life. 
• Agreed Value and Guaranteed Renewal: Changes policy wording from fair market value to agreed value.
• Loss of Use - 1: This equine insurance coverage reimburses you 50% of your horse’s value in the event your horse becomes permanently unable to perform its specified use due to an injury by sudden external or accidental means. Most show or competition horses are eligible and must be insured for $25,000 or more. You would be able to keep your horse. This option varies depending on the company.
• Loss of Use - 2: More comprehensive than Loss of Use - 1. Your horse must be a show or competition horse with a value of $10,000 or more.
• Stallion Infertility: If your stallion becomes totally and permanently infertile.

• Equine Liability: This policy is designed to cover your personal or commercial horse liability exposure for losses typically found in most horse operations. If you own horses, instruct, train, board, breed, show, or give clinics, we can tailor a policy to your exact needs. As with any insurance policy, certain exclusions apply.
• Care, Custody, or Control: This coverage is legal liability insurance for non-owned horses in your care, custody, or control. If you have boarded horses or horses in training, this policy will cover you for death or injury to those horses.
