Whitney Pangburn is a Sr. Sales Executive for the Group Benefits Division of Marshall & Sterling Insurance. With 15+ years of experience in the insurance industry, she began her career working for some of the areas largest and most respected companies including MVP Healthcare, CDPHP and State Farm. She has focused her career on achieving superior customer service and truly making a difference to her clients and her clients employees.  Her experience includes a broad spectrum of insurance product offerings such as group benefits accounts providing medical, dental, life and other health care related coverage as well as personal lines products such as auto, home and personal liability umbrella policies.

In her role as a Sales Executive for Marshall & Sterling, Whitney has realized significant hard and soft dollar savings for her clients through her effective new strategy implementation, account management, and leveraging the use of Marshall & Sterling’s preferred status with insurance carriers. The COVID-19 pandemic further proved to clients that with a mixture of video capabilities and Marshall & Sterling’s iNavigator HRIS platform that she was ready to meet the needs of her clients using technology and her ability to quickly adapt. Her dedicated efforts have helped her clients save money, increase and protect staff productivity, and gain better protection from fines and penalties related to the compliance requirements under ACA, IRS, ERISA, DOL, DFS and any other applicable Employer/HR rule or regulation. Whitney is able to translate her extensive carrier and industry knowledge into building uniquely customized solutions for her clients.

Whitney is a humanitarian and philanthropist. Whitney will serve as Scotia Rotary Club President year 2021/2022 and Rotary District Governor (Dist. 7190) year 2023/2024. She was awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship on behalf of the Scotia Rotary Club, recognizing her efforts and involvement on the local, district and zone levels including her engagement with Rotary Young Professionals in 2016. She earned the Paul Harris Fellow +1 designation in 2020 for her contributions to the Rotary International Foundation. The 2017/2018 District Governor (Dist. 7190) awarded her with the Rising Star award in 2018. Whitney attended the 2016 Zone 28 and 29 Institute in Cleveland on Scholarship by Rotary International, was the program Emcee for the 2017 Zone 28/29 Institute in Chicago and 2018 Zone 28/29 Institute program emcee in Erie,PA both times addressing approximately 550-600 convention participants. Recently, she also served as the chair of the “Engaging Young Families” programs presented at the Rotary International Convention in 2020 which was attended by over 2,000 live virtual participants and simultaneously interpreted in 8 different languages. Lastly, Whitney served as the Co-creator and co-chair for the District 7190 Next Gen Council from 2016-2020.

Some of her work for other organizations includes serving as Vice President and Finance Chair of The Logan Strong Foundation between 2016-2020, co-chair for the Tech Valley Young Professionals Network Community Relations Committee from 2015-2019, as a mentor for 5 years with the Capital Region Sponsor a Scholar program and frequently volunteers as a seasonal soccer coach for her daughters’ soccer teams.

Whitney is devoted to her work and her local and global community. She lives with her family and her two dogs in Scotia-Glenville.
