Our History

Theodore Tunick founded Theodore Tunick & Company in 1962, thus making it the oldest insurance agency in the Virgin Islands. In 1986 the company became part of Marshall & Sterling Enterprises of Poughkeepsie, NY. Following Hurricane Hugo and after 28 years of being located in downtown Charlotte Amalie, the office relocated to Beltjen Place in 1990. Ten years later we moved into our current location, The Tunick Building on Beltjen Road. We are extremely proud that our company is 100% owned by its employees. Currently, we employ 33 people, and our sister office on St. Croix, Marshall & Sterling, has an additional 33 employees.

We write all lines of insurance for individuals as well as commercial and governmental entities. Some of our clients have been insured through us for over 40 years. They have come to trust our integrity and professionalism.
