Ken joined Marshall & Sterling in 1990. Under his leadership, the division has expanded more than threefold, maintaining the highest level of profitability in the organization. Ken is responsible for operations and sales management including: acquisitions and mergers; client sales and management; as well as carrier relationships and negotiations. Ken services a large and diverse client base, with an emphasis on Public Entities, Educational Institutions, Not-for-Profits, Health Care, Professional Liability and Manufacturing.

Ken works regularly with his clients in a Risk Management and Account Executive capacity for the advancement of cost containment, claims management and maximum outcomes. Ken began his insurance career in 1978 with St. Paul Companies as a Commercial Lines Underwriter. He held various positions throughout his tenure, including Property/Inland Marine Underwriter, Production Underwriter and Marketing in a regional and home office capacity, working in Cleveland, Ohio; Washington DC; Virginia Beach, VA; and St. Paul, MN. Ken worked for Hartford Insurance in 1985 as the Upstate Marketing Manager, responsible for their largest regional office outside of Hartford CT, exceeding $200 million.

Ken received his B.A. for Political Science from Allegheny College in 1978. He attended classes at Cleveland State University, Old Dominion University and the University of Minnesota, completing his MBA at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1988. Ken has received designations for Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM). Ken is an adjunct instructor to the School of Business at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY.

Ken has served as volunteer and board member for Columbia/Greene Counties United Way; Catskill Rotary board; Capital Campaign for Saratoga YMCA; St. Clements School Board; and coach for youth sports organizations. Ken and his wife Cherie have resided in Saratoga Springs since 1986 and have 2 children. He has served on the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) Board since 2002; Boston/San Francisco merger team in 2007; and currently serves on the NBTS Executive Committee.
