"As a result of a call from UE last week regarding CGL endorsement claims and billing, I was left with more questions than the UE caller had answers to. I called Karen Lockrow this morning regarding how to identify which claims come under the CGL endorsement. (UE's concern was our payments to Scott Ely rather than UE paying Scott directly, after payment from us, for these types of claims.) Karen took the time to review and answer all my questions, identified our CGL claims, and together we will cross check our weekly reports when I forward them to her for CGL claims. Karen's knowledge of claims/policies/procedures is outstanding and I was left with a better understanding of our role in identifying claims and how our payments will be directed. "At the beginning of 2013 the Town of Queensbury Animal Control Department had initiated a project geared to Kindergarten Students at Queensbury School entitled Dog Bite Prevention. In the summer of 2012, the Town experienced a total of twelve dog bite cases in just one week - all children were under the age of twelve. We approached our insurance broker, Marshall &Sterling and with the assistance of Lorraine Emerick, Vice President, we developed a program for the Queensbury Elementary School. On May 24th and 28th 2013, Animal Control Officer James Fitzgerald and his Service Dog Maya, along with Ms. Tammie Landers (Secretary), Darleen Dougher (Town Clerk) and Lorraine Emerick of Marshall & Sterling, we presented a program to over three hundred Kindergarten Students. This program was greatly enhanced through the generous donations by Marshall and Sterling, which included coloring books, stickers and a power point they developed on Dog Bite Prevention.
This program was a very positive experience for these students and it is our sincere hope that the number of dog bites will be greatly reduce because of this highly received program. The Town of Queensbury Animal Control Department wish to extend their gratitude for all the support and encouragement that Lorraine Emerick and Marshall & Sterling gave to us and our citizens, big and small, of the Town of Queensbury.
