Community Events

Marshall & Sterling Insurance is committed to being a strong community partner and playing a key role in corporate social responsibility within the communities we serve. The company’s 400+ employees regularly give of their time, talent and financial resources to support a wide array of civic organizations and not-for-profit charitable organizations, serving hundreds of thousands of neighbors in need. Many Marshall & Sterling employees also serve on governing Boards of Directors and other volunteer committees in support of these organizations.

Each year, Marshall & Sterling and its employees donate hundreds of thousands of dollars, and spend thousands of man-hours giving back to social causes. Our office in Kingston, NY also participates in and sponsors a number of local initiatives and works to give back to the community. Here are just a few of our favorite community engagements:

In March, we held a contest on our Facebook Page for 4 tickets to see Wicked on Broadway! Our winners were THRILLED, and we have pictures and video of the family who won at - go check them out! (and like our Page while you're there)


Our team sponsored a mixer with John A. Coleman Catholic High School in December, enjoying a festive networking opportunity with local business leaders. This mixer was an excellent opportunity for to see firsthand what Coleman can offer to students and their families in Ulster County. Students participated performed throughout the event, singing Christmas carols and holiday music. 

Marshall & Sterling Boys GIrls Club Kingston

Our team recently helped sponsor the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kingston's 26th Annual Steak & Burger Dinner. Kevin Ryan, Mike Ryan and Gerry Brown enjoyed attending this wonderful event. 


At the Gateway Community Industries 60th Anniversary Gala on November 4, 2017,  Kevin Ryan, was given the Sub-Rosa Honor for his unwavering support of their organization over the years.

In November, Kristin Bradley and Chris Harris were invited to present to the Ulster Community College Business Club about the insurance industry. It was a great session, where members learned about the various insurance carriers they can pursue. We also interviewed two individuals after the meeting for our Spring internship program! Our thanks to Darlene Pfeiffer from the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, Professors Patricia Phelan and Mindy Kole, and Fieldwork Coordinator Lina Farina.


Kingston Marshall Sterling Community Events

As members of the Hudson Valley StartUp Fund, Tim Dean, CEO of Marshall & Sterling, along with Johnny LeHane and Tony DiMarco, were guest speakers at the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce's Breakfast Meeting on October 18. They shared a brief overview of HVSF as well as their progress in the last two years.

Marshall & Sterlng Kingston at Chamber Expo

On September 20, our team participated in the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce's Buy Local Expo, which highlighted dozens of area businesses serving Ulster County and the Hudson Valley. The event was held at Diamond Mills in Saugerties, NY. Tammy Holt was proud to be interviewed by HVNN in their coverage fo the day. Click here to watch her interview.
