Compliance Alert: EEOC Proposes New Wellness Program Regulations
Marshall & Sterling E-Alerts - Keeping You in the Know
Current national surveys on employer-sponsored group health plans show that 50-80%
of employers offer some type of wellness program. This is not surprising as wellness
programs can encourage people to adopt healthy behaviors and also help control health
care spending. While the potential benefits of a successful wellness program are clear,
the laws regarding their implementation often are not. Follow this link for a legislative
update on key regulations that impact wellness programs, including proposed rules
recently issued by the EEOC.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
