BOP coverage includes:
- Property insurance for buildings, content, and property owned by the company.
- Business interruption insurance, which covers the loss of income resulting from a disaster that disrupts business operations.
- Liability protection, which covers legal responsibility for the harm a business may cause to others. This includes incidences of customer injury and property damage and product-related claims.
A BOP does not cover areas professional liability, vehicle or auto, worker’s compensation or health and disability insurance. Separate business insurance is required to extend coverage.
