The Affordable Care Act (ACA) imposes a number of taxes and fees on insured and self-insured health plans to fund programs designed to provide individuals with access to affordable, quality health care.
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) fee - effective 2012 through 2019 - is one such fee. The PCORI fee helps to fund research intended to improve health care delivery and decision making.
With its annual July 31st filing deadline approaching, check out a brief overview on the "Who, What, & Whens" of the PCORI fee via the most recent episode from our "Compliance Minute" video series. Click here to download the slides from the video.
