ACA PCORI Fees
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) imposes a number of taxes and fees on insured and self-insured health plans to fund programs designed to provide individuals with access to affordable, quality health care.
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) fee - effective 2012 through 2019 - is one such fee. The PCORI fee helps to fund research intended to improve health care delivery and decision making.
